Packing takes three times as long as anyone plans for. We do it in a day, label it by room, and unpack it at the other end if you'd like - so the move is the only thing left to think about.

That matters more than it sounds. A crew that knows it will be lifting the box packs it to a weight it can lift, and stacks it so the van loads properly the next morning.
We agree the scope
Full house, selected rooms, or fragiles only. We go through the house room by room with you and tell you honestly which parts are worth doing yourself.
Materials arrive first
Boxes, tape, paper, wardrobe cartons and covers delivered before packing day - or reusable crates if you'd rather not have the cardboard at all.
Packed, labelled, inventoried
Every box marked with its room and contents, and a written inventory as we go. Nothing goes into a box marked 'misc'.
What's included
Every room, packed to survive the journey.
Different rooms need different handling. A kitchen is not a wardrobe, and neither is packed the way books are.
Kitchens & glassware
Cell dividers for stemware, paper-wrapped china, and knives boxed safely. The slowest room in the house and the one most worth handing over.
Wardrobes, hanging
Clothes transferred straight from rail to wardrobe carton on the hanger, and back onto the rail at the other end. Nothing gets folded or creased.
Pictures, mirrors & art
Corner-protected, wrapped and boxed in picture cartons. Larger or higher-value pieces crated to measure where the piece calls for it.
Electronics & screens
Televisions and monitors in purpose-made cartons, cables bagged and labelled to the device so the new house works the same evening.
Books, files & documents
Small boxes, packed to a weight a person can actually lift, and kept in order so shelves and filing go back the way they came out.
Beds & soft furnishings
Mattress and sofa covers, bedding bagged, and the essentials box packed last so it comes off the van first.

Materials collected after
We take the empty boxes and paper back once you've unpacked, and reuse or recycle them. Nothing left in your hallway for a month.

Full pack & unpack
Every room packed the day before and unpacked into place on arrival. You do not lift a box, at either end.
Packing is quoted with your removal as one itemised figure, including all materials and their collection afterwards.

Things people often ask.
How long does packing a house take?
A three-bed house is typically a full day for a two-person team, or half a day for a part pack. It is almost always faster than people expect from professionals and far slower than they expect doing it themselves.
Do you supply the boxes and materials?
Yes - boxes, tape, paper, wardrobe cartons, picture cartons and covers, all delivered before packing day and included in the quote. We collect the empties once you've unpacked.
Can I pack some of it myself?
Of course, and most people do. A common split is that we take the kitchen, fragiles and wardrobes while you handle books, clothes and personal items. Just be aware that self-packed boxes usually fall outside transit cover.
Do you unpack at the other end?
If you'd like. We can unpack into cupboards and wardrobes, or simply unbox into the right rooms and take the empties away - whichever suits how you want to settle in.
Can you avoid cardboard entirely?
Yes. Reusable plastic crates are available instead of boxes for most of the house - they stack better in the van, need no tape, and go straight back into circulation afterwards.
When do you pack - the same day as the move?
Usually the day before, so the morning of the move is loading only. Small flats can be packed and moved the same day where the volume allows.
